Career Direction Service
The Career Direction Service supports the client in developing focused career objectives through the use of assessment tools, decision – making exercises, and research into fields and functions that match talents and interests. This sets a solid foundation for transitioning to a new career opportunity that is a better fit with the individual’s talents and interests.
Program Format
The client completes initial information – gathering exercises and then meets with the consultant to discuss and analyze the information. The consultant then facilitates the client’s decision – making toward the development of focused career objectives. Here’s an outline of the process:
I. Assessment
A. Information Gathering and Analysis of Education, Career History and previous assessments.
B. Discussion of talents, including skills, knowledge, and experience.
C. Discussion of career and job preferences, likes and dislikes, and favorable work environments
D. Assignment and analysis of additional assessment exercises including interest inventories
II. Career Orientation
A. Priorities
B. Interests
C. Discussion of applying talents to match interests and priorities
D. Researching appropriate career opportunities/jobs
III. Career Fit & Objective Setting
A. Matching Talents, Interests and Career Opportunities
B. Setting Short Term Objectives and Long Term Goals
Deliverables
A Career Plan is agreed upon which serves as the foundation for developing a Strategic Campaign to transition to new career opportunity. Up to 4 hours of one to one consulting is provided.
